Chokri Ben Chikha is an actor, director and theater maker. In 2003 he founded the international theater company Union Suspecte together with his brother. Since 2007 he is lecturer and researcher in the arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of the University College Ghent. In 2009 he founded the international performance group Action Zoo Humain, acting as the artistic director. He examines how the historical concept of the zoo humain can be explored as a research instrument to better understand ethnic, religious or nationalistic conflicts. In 2013, he was the first in Belgium to earn a doctorate in the arts, as a performer and theater maker.
His role in CongoConnect is to supervise Jean-Michel Kibushi’s research in the arts.
